Rebecca is a technical and creative person who currently works as Senior UI/UX Design Manager at Sledgehammer Games. She’s shipped mobile and console games such as The Elder Scrolls: Blades, Assassin’s Creed Origins, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Call of Duty and Shape Up (Kinect), using engines like Unity, Unreal and studio proprietary tools.

Prior to a career in game development, Rebecca spent many years designing and programming user interfaces for websites, apps & interactive experiences.

She is the co-founder and director of Pixelles; a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering more women (& everyone) through free programs, events, professional support and community. Pixelles has been advocating for game dev women and gender-marginalized people through its volunteer, community-led activities since 2013. Seeing the lack of support, Rebecca founded the another initiative in 2018: Game & Color. Game & Color is a grassroots community that provides a space for Montréal game developers of color. By coming together, BIPOC people can meaningfully connect, be heard and find a more inclusive, welcoming place in the games industry.

At the intersection of her work as a game developer, Rebecca is a serious advocate who speaks up for diversity equity and inclusion. As a seasoned community organizer and public speaker, her internationally recognized advocacy work has directly impacted the Montréal games industry and beyond.
